HR Planning in a Hotel, Lecture 28.09.2026

Today's lecture was about the challenges a hotel can face – for example recruitment difficulties, transport problems, skills shortages, seasonal and weekly fluctuations in demand, inefficient staff utilisation and so on.

For myself, I think our daily lives sometimes seem a bit like a hotel.

Every day we face different challenges and new schedules, and at some point it can become overwhelming.

That's why the right structure and schedule are necessary – just like the right personnel planning in a hotel.

At the end, we watched a short video about a man who seemed to know everything about certain people. But when the curtain fell, you could see that he had a whole team behind him who had found out everything about these people on the internet.

So be careful what you share on the World Wide Web, because once it's out there, it stays there forever.
